At LNURconf York 2019 we welcome all adult railway and train fans who want to share their passion, experience and expertise, whether you’re totally new to LEGO trains, a traditional model railway builder or operator.
The event
LNURconf is a hybrid conference and display, with a series of presentations and a choice selection of LEGO railway displays and locomotive and rolling stock models on display.
Saturday daytime: sessions and displays
Set over one day, LNURconf is set to host to some of the best LEGO locomotive and railways display builders in the country, sharing their passion and knowledge for all. Current sessions in development are:
- Welcome to L-Gauge by Richard Carter. An introduction to the LEGO railway hobby from LNUR founder and LEGO railway fanatic Richard “Bricks McGee” Carter.
- Collaboration in LEGO railway building. How to use standards to build large-scale, collaborative LEGO railways.
- Narrow Gauge LEGO railways.
- Making model railways interactive.
- The making of a LEGO railway.
Alongside these, we’ll have a small number of displays from LEGO railway builders across the UK, including an LNUR collaborative display.
Saturday evening: LNURconf social
Once the sessions are complete, attendees are welcome to join us for the LNUR social evening in York city centre; a welcome drink and main course will be included within the ticket cost.
Sunday daytime: trip
Before heading home, why not join us for our railway activity on Sunday morning? To be announced.
