Drive your own LEGO train – the LNUR Playout

The LNUR playout is our drive your own LEGO train display – great for LEGO shows and model railway displays to get kids (big and small!) interacting with models.

For obvious reason, the playout is one of our most popular displays at LEGO shows and model railway exhibitions. Featuring customised Scalextric controllers created by our member Darren, this allows children (and adults!) of all ages to drive a mixture of freight and passenger trains with little hassle.

Layout requirements

Open to invitations: LEGO show and model railway exhibition managers can email lnurailway@gmail.com with requests for this display to appear at events in the UK.

Layout size	The layout is typically 10 x 6ft, with the longer length towards the public.
Operators	Minimum of 2, often 3 – 5.
Layout era	Variable. We have a mix of modern image and heritage style scenic modules which are interchangeable.
Power requirements	All locomotives on this layout are powered via the track. We require mains power for this layout.
Table requirements	We typically use a minimum of 5 6×2.5ft tables for this display.
