Our LEGO Forth Bridge model

A key feature of our northern club layout, the LEGO Forth Bridge spans 8 metres and provides a two track running line.

The bridge was debuted at Bricktastic 2025 in Manchester.

Key LEGO Forth Bridge facts

  • The full bridge module is 8 metres long
  • The bridge and scenery beneath it is created from around 100,000 LEGO bricks
  • The model was built by 4 club members – Joe, Levi, Shane, and Richard – with contributions from Lewis (boats and houses), and Joey, Andrew, Sammy and William, who helped to complete landscaping at its first outing
  • The bridge uses around 5,000 LEGO Technic pins
  • Each cantilever features around 600 1×16 red Technic bricks
  • The bridge uses selective compression, and as such different sections of the bridge are scaled differently. The bridge is 1:308 portal to portal; 1:275 for its height; 1:46 for its height, and around 1:100 for its width
